Text of Statute
A written contract between a patient and a hospital or physician to settle by binding arbitration any dispute or controversy arising out of the diagnosis, treatment, or care rendered by a physician or hospital, entered into prior to or subsequent to the rendering of such diagnosis, treatment, or care is valid, irrevocable, and enforceable, save upon such grounds as exist at law or in equity for the revocation of any contract.
As used in this section the terms "hospital" and "physician" shall have the meaning set forth in division (D) of section 2305.11 of the Revised Code. The provisions of this division apply to hospitals, doctors of medicine, doctors of osteopathic medicine, and doctors of podiatric medicine.
