Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is the treatment of disorders of the human body by application of electricity, but only in such quantities as does not endanger health or life.  The State Medical Board previously licensed this limited branch of medicine.  Electrotherapy is no longer specifically licensed in Ohio.  Presently, electrotherapy is considered the practice of medicine under ORC § 4731.34.
