Examination for Licensure, Limited BranchesThe examination of all applicants for certification to practice a limited branch of medicine or surgery shall be conducted under rules prescribed by the State Medical Board and at such times and places as the Board may determine. Such examination shall be given in anatomy, physiology, chemistry, bacteriology, pathology, hygiene, diagnosis and in such other subjects appropriate to the limited branches of medicine or surgery for which certification is requested as the Board may require. Applicants for certificates to practice massage or Swedish movements shall not be examined in pathology and diagnosis. ORC § 4731.16 Any person seeking registration as a practitioner of a limited branch of medicine or surgery, which includes massage therapists, shall have passed the basic science portion of the examination authorized and administered by the Board by a score of seventy-five or above. Test subjects include anatomy, physiology, chemistry, bacteriology, pathology, hygiene and diagnosis as appropriate to the limited branch of medicine or surgery. In addition, such person shall also have passed the specific limited branch portion of such examination by a score of seventy-five or above.
