Minors, Consent for Treatment OF

Generally speaking, only those eighteen (18) years of age or older have the legal capacity to consent to medical care and treatment.  If younger than 18, the parent or guardian must consent.  There are exceptions for emergency care and treatment; however, consent for massage therapy of a minor should be granted by the parent or guardian in most situations.
