Nurse Aide

“Nurse aide” means an individual who provides nursing and nursing related services to patients or residents in a long term care facility other than a licensed health professional or an individual who provides nursing and nursing related services as a volunteer without monetary compensation.  ORC § 3721.21 (I)

Nothing in ORC § 3721.28 to § 3721.34  shall be construed to permit any individual to engage in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse or the practice of nursing as a licensed practical nurse if the individual does not hold a valid certificate or license.  ORC § 3721.35
