Douglas E.
Graff, LPA is the former Associate Counsel and Manager of
Hospital Medical Staff Services for the Ohio State Medical Association. Mr.
Graff was responsible for the relations between OSMA and the State Medical
Board, Ohio's medical licensure authority. Mr. Graff assisted in the negotiation
and drafting of the medical licensure and impaired practitioner statutes, as
well as Ohio's Model Medical Staff Bylaws. Mr. Graff is a widely published
author and a Faculty Member on Health Law at Columbus State . Mr. Graff
represents individual physicians, medical staffs and groups through out the
state of Ohio.

Douglas E. Graff is
a "physician-friendly" attorney providing advice,
representation and general legal assistance to medical staffs,
individual physicians, health care groups and associations. Mr.
Graff's practice focuses on health care, real estate and
administrative law. Mr.
Graff is licensed to practice in all Ohio courts, and the U.S.
District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States
Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States
Supreme Court. Mr. Graff serves as General Counsel to several single
and multi specialty provider groups, and has been selected as a
member of the Doctors Referral Service by the American Medical
Association to assist physicians with managed care and licensure
problems. Mr. Graff
represents physicians with licensure and disciplinary problems with
the State Medical Board of Ohio.
He assists Medical Staffs throughout Ohio with writing and
revising their Bylaws. In
addition, Mr. Graff is a member of the Adjunct Faculty of Columbus
State College, in the Department of Health Sciences, Health
Information and Health Care Management Programs.

Mr. Graff is the
former Associate Counsel for the Ohio
State Medical Association, providing legal services to the OSMA,
county societies and members. Mr. Graff was responsible for OSMA's
relations with the Ohio State Medical Board, and served as the
liaison to state departments, boards and agencies. Mr. Graff also
served as OSMA's Hospital Medical Staff Services Manger and Liaison
for the Hospital Medical Staff Section, and directed the physician
and attorney panel that authored and edited the Ohio Model
Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws.
Mr. Graff served on the Governor's Task Force on Prescription
Drug Abuse and as Chairman of its Professional Association
Committee.

Mr. Graff has
written several legal articles for Ohio Medicine, Health
Law Journal of Ohio, was a contributor on Physician's Guide
to Ohio Law, Law of Medical Practice in Ohio, authored Graff’s
Guide to The Law of
Massage Therapy in Ohio, and Graff’s
Guide to The Law of
Medical Records in Ohio. Other projects include revisions of
the physician licensure and disciplinary statutes; the Ohio Trauma
Network plan; amphetamine and steroid prescribing rules of the Ohio
State Medical Board and the Medical Board's disciplinary hearing
rules. Mr. Graff is a registered lobbyist to the Ohio General
Assembly for health care practitioner associations.

Mr. Graff received
his Bachelor degree in Political Science and Speech/Communication
from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio; his Master Degree in
Public Administration and Organizational Development from American
University in Washington, D.C.; his Juris Doctorate from Ohio State
University, Moritz College of Law in Columbus, Ohio.
